An item about the health benefits of coffee posted on theosebes reminded me of a story Foy E. Wallace used to tell.
While he was visiting in an acquaintance’s home, Wallace asked for a cup of coffee. His host replied, “I don’t drink coffee. I’m a Christian.”
Wallace retorted, “So am I, but I didn’t let it make a fool out of me.”
Life without coffee??? Perish the thought!

I’m not a coffee drinker myself, but I love that story.
I used to tell people that I was too young to drink coffee.
They’re not buying that as easily now.
