Jason – I agree with you that it starts on the home, but I don’t think you should blame parents for the adult child’s behavor. I know of (now adult) children who have left the church and were raised in very loving, Christian homes and “its not the parents fault.”

Please don’t ever tell a parent that its his or her fault that the child is not a Christian.

I think that all congregations should check up on people who have fallen away.

It is now time for our generation to prepare our children (with every ounce of effort we can muster) to be true followers of Christ!

We have lost our moral moorings. We have exchanged our values for valuables.

We are losing so many young people in the church these days (55% – 75% estimated). This is not the youth minister’s fault. It is not the local congregation’s fault. It is the parent’s fault!

Multi-generational discipleship. It starts in the home. Training outside of the home should be gravy.
